Finally got to test the DPM

Got the kit finished up back in December but several weeks of sub zero weather kept me indoors. We only had three days of above freezing temps and now the winter blast is back. But I did make it out to test fire the DPM build. Every thing went ok but did have a few issues with the semi auto conversion. Should be able to get that cleared up by the next range day opportunity that comes around.
The rifle is a gas to shoot, almost no recoil due its mass. The pan mags are a really cool to look at but a true PIA to load. Due to short window to shoot only fired it at 50 yards but will move out the next time around. Only had milsurp ammo for the test so accuracy is most likely not the best it will do when I get a chance to try some hand loads. All of my Com Block rifles shoot much better with hand loads than with spam can corrosive. At any rate really fun gun and well worth all the work and time.

Congrats, very cool weapon and a nice feeling to be sure that everything worked, and it shot solid

    Pretty cool for sure.

Rough estimate as far as build cost? I've been thinking of branching out from AR and AK type builds.

There are a ton of variables on how to do this depending on how much you are willing to have done for you and how much you can do for yourself. I guess that the best way to do an estimate is to break it down into two options based on what is available on the market today using a basic kit. Kits are around $350.
Kit plus complete semi auto ready receiver and all semi auto mods done for you is around $1600.
Kit plus doing your own rewelded receiver and semi auto conversion is about half that depending on how you go about it.
Note that either way a fair amount of work is required to finish up with a functioning gun. Not to mention having had a lot of fun getting there.

And as a Kanna with the current state of the game you could stroll into hard bosses with nothing but level 30 domain and no one in a party would think twice. People take Kanna meso farming mules with domain into hard Damien/lotus/Lucid/will weekly in reboot. None of these Kanna's contribute boss damage, but are taken for binds and domain. It's a support class don't expect it to deal damage.
    WTF is this?

Hmm, although your advice to the contrary has given me concerns, I think if the project came together at the right time and price I'd still build one. I'll be mindful of soloing bosses.
