    My Norinco SKS

Hello here I am introducing my Norinco SKS, it has it's original poly tech 2.5x 18 scope mounted on the receiver, I just removed the spike baionette and added a stock pouch that has a useful cheek rise

I am not a collector so for me it's just a fun range toy, considering buying a 20 round Tapco mag and maybe a trigger job

I still don't know if it is a mil surplus or a "recent" civilian market gun, if anybody could help me out would be much appreciated, Nick

    Not a commercial SKS.
Those have thumbhole or Monte Carlo stocks., shortened barrels etc.

The parts are milspec but they were modified for US import regulations or features like scopes etc.
Some had the bayonets removed and the pivot was neutered.

The weebly site link above has some good info.

on the receiver it says "made in china by norinco XXXy usa atl. ga" ....where the xxx are the missing letters due to the drilling holes (probably "poly"), but the funny thing is that I live in italy

If you live in Italy it's nothing special that you've got gun from north American continent market.

I had an SKS made by Chinese which was imported from Canada and I live in Poland.
