    Bolt interchangability?

Anyone ever messed around with different bolts in their SKS' to see headspace variance between them? What were your results?

I have never done it personally, but judging from some of the SKS rifles coming in now, and in the past, along with some mismatched legit bring backs I've seen, its a viable option.

Are there any differences between the Chinese and Yugo SKS bolts, in terms of functionality or dimensions? Like, will a Yugo SKS bolt work ok in a Chinese SKS bolt carrier?

I met a gent who purchased a NOS Zastava made stripped SKS bolt body from APEX.
It was a few thousandths long and needed fitting to headspace correctly into his Chinese SKS.
Being NOS I could see why they are made that way, since they would be spares for used rifles.

What part of the bolt or bolt carrier would need to be modified to fix the headspace problem?
