    Media's gun logic

The media holds the narrative for gun control, because it's justice. It's Just-us. How do you argue with a moron? Is the media responsible for creating martyrs, that would otherwise be sane? Factual-Propoganda relies on communist anarchy meant to feed the mob. For example, a 13 year old (non-gender/racial) takes a 9mm to school. Based on legal precedence, is this a mental health issue? Or a insecure gun lockup? Revenge, vengeance or ego? Can a victim's family file a lawsuit against the kid's family? In an urban setting, the gun coefficient is #of guns:gun violence. In Chicago, for every 20 guns, 2 people die from aggravated assault, or 10:1. In a rural area, this is maybe 1000:1. Based on this, is the media dependant on an unstable urban populous? Yes! Can Congress control or manage urban decay? No, the media does that. Can the media be held responsible? The media thrives off of circumstancial evidence, while the demented do all the dirty work. Congress can't tie it's own shoe laces, without falling down. So, what happens now? Take your kid shooting. Here in the rural expanse, kids 12 years of age go hunting. A 13 year old urban dissident goes hunting for people. Makes sense, because the media controls the narrative. Population control, abortion and satanic paganism proliferate the gun-free agenda. What can Congress do? Congress is a joke. What is our agenda, other than complaining? File lawsuits against the media for harboring hate, concealing mental illness, homelessness and widespread disease (LA). We can do this. JWM

If the question was/is should we hold the Media accountable for how they handle/spread misinformation, I think we should. Particularly in relation to ongoing stories that involve acts of violence, such as shootings and terror attacks.

The Media focuses too much on shooters, and also immediately tries to politicize any tragedy. And in the event that it no longer fits their narrative they'll bury the story.

I think that we should put regulation in place on how news stories can be covered. News outlets should not be allowed to make baseless speculation as that creates misinformation. They'll get a half-sentence of non-info from someone at the scene and run into hours and hours of analysis of that little tidbit, which then results in them making assumptions and then later reporting those assumptions as fact.

Take the recent case of the off-duty police officer shooting the guy who attacked him in Costco. At first, the way it was reported was that a guy with a mohawk had shot several people and then been taken into custody. The initial news report had merged the officer and the man who attacked him into a single person who was arrested. This feeds into the classic narrative of an evil shooter immediately.

A more responsible way to report on the incident would be to say "several injured in shooting at costco" and then made no further reporting or speculation on the incident till the police made a statement.

Reporting really was better 30-40 years ago because news took time to reach the consumer. Thus the reporter was forced to take their time researching the event, and thus actually have some quality information. Nowadays everything is just click-bait and nothing more than a couple sentences can be considered a full news report.

This also leads to terrible situations where if you have a school shooting the families are likely to hear it first from the media and not from the police or other authorities, which results in panic as everybody immediately converges trying to find information.

I'm not sure what exactly the solution is though. We want freedom of the press, but there should definitely be some regulation about how they are allowed to report events. Perhaps mandatory delay of any incidents involving sensitive topics to prevent panic and to allow for more accuracy in reporting.
