That probably more of a realistc assessment than statistics. Sad but true.

1 million guns owned by cops (police departments)
4.5 million owned by the military
22.7 million owned by cops worldwide
every 5 years Americans buy more guns than all militaries combined

I say good luck taking away guns. There would be one hell of a civil war.
This is why gun grabbers are slowly taking away guns.
Its hard to say how many are out there but one thing is for sure, the gun grabbers will continue to push. Notice how the shift is now to “semi auto” firearms? Trying to find another way to villainize them. Im suprised we havent seen a new law with a minimum 5 seconds between shots! Unfortunately with the ever shifting rules of the circus ATF, they are gaining ground...as evident of this bump stock ban. Firearms will never away. Our kids and their kids will be fighting over this generations from now until the end of civilization.

Watching the news and seeing the NZ prime minister banning “military style weapons” with the stroke of a pen makes me feel good that the 2A is one of our RIGHTS!

I see the 2A as just a speed bump. Something that prolongs to inevitable. At least it's just a feeling I have. Not long ago it was "assault weapons" now it's "semi auto". I have this feeling that it will be....the bigger they are the harder they fall, unfortunately.

Seeing today's 20-35 year olds I have a feeling within the next few years the Constitution will be challenged

I dont see it changing. It hasnt in over 240 years, and i dont see it now because of a small part of society wants guns banned. Its always been like this. Remember the wild west when everybody had a gun on their hip? One of the reasons why we dont carry a gun on our hip now is because the antis were pushing back then. The towns that outlawed guns back then are no different now with the exception that us gun owners are a whole lot smarter now.

Also, you need to keep in mind that if one amendment falls then the others will also. Now imagine telling the people of the US, young/old, white/black/brown/yellow, strait/gay that they no longer have the right to freedom of speech! Imagine the shitshow that would start! That would be the beginning of the downfall of our society.

    I respectfully disagree.

We're already seeing curtailing of the 1st when it comes to "offending" someone. It used to be just 'hate speech' which was ooooh soooo baad and hoooww daaare youuuu... now we have 'micro aggressions' 'triggering' '_____splaining" and that goes on and on. Disagree with someone and out come the fists and the basest of name calling.. straight to the bottom with some of these 'debates'... there's no longer 'agree to disagree'...its shout them down and beat them up. Fuck wear the wrong hat and get attacked. Granted this 'discourse' is the lowest common denominator but that recent thread we had with that one guy who, went confronted with something outside his narrow viewpoint, went straight to calling our members retards and antifa? yeah that's not a great sign.

Not content to publicly humiliate people for 'upsetting language', now the cops show up at your doorstep for Tweeting about something offensive. Happens in the UK and we always use that as a barometer for bullshittery that could happen here. A business fought a 6 year war over a cake and gradually won...at the state Supreme Court, but it was a narrow victory.

Controlling the language is more important than controlling the firearms. You can change language to suit your needs or shape the conversation. It's insidious because it creeps into our lexicon and alters people's perception on issues. In the soundbite culture, buzzwords are used due to people's shortening attention spans. The busy or the lazy skim over articles instead of really dig into the story, and even then they're not getting the whole picture.. yet they consider themselves 'informed' and therefor experts in the subject.

I'm kinda hungry for frog legs. OH! every time I eat at the chinese buffet place that has frog legs, THIS pops into my head.

Unfortunately I don't see anyone giving a shit about the Constitution. Trump just signed an executive order about freedom of speech on college campuses.

The Trump executive order was for the colleges to follow the constitution allowing free speech or lose federal funding.

Right. What does that tell you when a president has to force freedom of speech. Doesn't seem like the student body had issues with the way it was

That proves my point. These “agitators” wont put up with not being able to spew their bullshit. Without the 1st amendment your gonna have LE or the military (those that will...small percentage) cracking down on anything that is breaking the law. I dont see a whole group of people lining up to get cuffed and stuffed when they grew up speaking their mind. You can guarentee that there will be social unrest if any rights of the constitution is taken away. Not only the groups of agitators but many other groups, military/LE that took a oath, and everyday citizens wont put up with it. In my area there was a antigun bill passed (i-1639) and already 90% of sherriffs in my state say that they will NOT comply. Thats just one bill! Imagine if the 1a was a threat of being taled away!

Lets face it, the UK and europe in general is a shitshow. Their backwards thinking has been proven many times to be completely wrong. People have lost their lives many times and repeatedly they have passed no laws for the people to protect themselves. Only laws that make them more of a victim. If anybody has ever followed the Amanda knox fiasco you will see exactly how corrupt many governments over the big pond are.

100% agree with this. Don't forget if someone of a certain group accuses you of a crime, you are automatically guilty. MeToo movement and Kavanaugh. Stripper and the Duke Lacrosse team. Both accused of rape but never happened. Then there is the Covington students accused of racism. And these people will never get their reputations back. All because of politics.
Dear Socialists: I have no money for you. I spent it all on guns and ammo.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before or how good this information is yet but,

Firearms Policy Coalition members may be exempt from this bumpstock ban and it's only $1 to join.

    I'm not a lawyer.

The supreme court sided today with the Trump administration decision to ban bump stocks.
