    This guy goes into details on how it can be used (sorry it's in Romanian, but you can watch it with the audio off, he's illustrating it very well).
    At one point he gets two of them out and demonstrates how they can be connected and used as a shelter.

    Apparently I was wrong again. The helmet would be attached there when the backpack was not in use. I don't see how it would be secured there by just one strap and not fall off, but I am not making the rules.
    Maybe that strap has multiple uses, I don't know.
