Hungarian Tanker 3 cell pouch question

As a former Marine grunt, I'm always interested in how foreign mil troops used their gear. I was pairing up a Hungarian cleaning kit / oil+solvent bottle set with a 3 cell tanker pouch. There's a small / narrow pocket in the front of the pouch that has a small leather flap that is secured over the top which runs down to just above the main pouch buckle. Anyone know specifically what that pouch was designed to hold?

I figured that prolly went in there based on the shape, but how about the cleaning rod extension? It doesn't fit inside the cleaning kit tube either...so if it doesn't go in the little pocket with the wrench, where would it be carried by the Hungarian solider?

Also, stupid question: what is the wrench for?

Used to take off the muzzle brake.

You need an AMD65 and you need to play around with it, dude.

As soon as FEG is selling pistols, I'll be buying one, so hurry it up over there! 🙂 Already picking up the accessories and stock parts I'll need, just waiting for the pistols.

There were two wrenches, one that only removes the muzzle brake on an AMD-65 and another that also has a notch to disassemble the gas cut-off of the AMP-69.

I havenít had one of those 3-cell pouches in a long time, but I think theres a slot to stow the cleaning rod extension on the inside, back wall of it. A sleeve stitched into it.
Mr. B., Gman and CGSteve like this.

That's odd, I looked SUPER close (too close?) at the pouch I have and don't see such a sleeve. Time to bust out the bright light and magnifying glass I guess. Is it smack dab in the middle of the "back wall", or off to one side or...?

I recall my pouch having a slot in the middle, but there could be manufacturing variations.

I'll go to the FEG factory and check all of the pouches and do a video.

I put my extension rod in the same pocket as my wrench, under the leather loop inside the 3 mag canvas pouch. I don't see any other place for it to go. The video would be nice.

It will fit in there, but for the time being I'm just keeping it in the cleaning kit pocket. It fits nicely and has a flap over the top, so it shouldn't fall out. I'm thinking we have a variant that lacks the extra sleeve inside for the rod extension, because I've eyeballed the hell out of this pouch and it's just not there, nor can I see any indication that there was one, but it was removed etc.
