That's where the Izhmash logo is supposed to go.

Do not import these as pistols, that is just crazy to begin with. No reason in the world to have an SVD pistol. Then when ATF kills off 7.62X54R imports you and your company will be to blame for all those Morin Nagants not having cheap ammo. Gun owners have very long memories and that will not be a forgivable offense.

It's not gonna happen nor is it gonna come in as a pistol. It was briefly explored like you would have briefly explored sleeping with a land whale and in the end, it wasn't worth the risk.

And what I meant as BRIEFLY explored, they presented us some ideas and what they have done before and even gave guarantees and reassurances..yeah right.. just like some so called friends who kept telling me that Vaping is awesome....and perfectly safe.

    CONSEQUENCES... I get it.......
So please stop with the spamming on several boards.

We will not pursue it this way nor consider it.

    Thank you.

Great to have that clarified. As I was reading this thread it didn’t seem like there was a definite answer, it seemed like it was still being considered.

As far as spamming other boards, I have never made any comments on any other boards on the subject. I completely support and look forward to seeing FEG pull this off. I am not in because I already own an NDM-86, and always get lots of interest when I take it to the range. It would be great for others to have the ability to have an option.

If someone is out there bashing I can’t do anything about it because it ain’t me!

I own probably a dozen FEG pistols and all great firearms. I concealed carried a PA-63 a few years back when funds were limited and never thought it wouldn’t do its job.

I thank you for the effort you are putting into this and love the behind the scenes pics you have been providing.

Do you have any idea what twist rate they will be using? Also can we assume it will still be using .311 bore?

Twist rate is between the old and new ones....we found a healthy medium in betweener for a 24" barrel.

My recollection is that the old rate was about 1/12 and the new was 1/10. So, likely 1/11? A small change but I doubt many people want to be shooting 200 grain loads through their SVD anyway.

Unless you handload and run the 200gr Lapua D166.

Why bother with that when Sierra 174 grain bthp's are cheap and available? Not to mention nearly all decent hunting loads in .311 are also in the 150-180 grain range.

All this saving we are doing... I want some eye candy.
    Want to buy:
    1966 East German AKM kit
    TYPE 1 kit
    North Korean kit
    Serbian M76 sniper vest (M-99 A3)

If I was not on some government watch list, I'd be insulted.
