If you go to dragunov.net and look in the "NDM-86" section Berg has put out some good info on the Navy Arms Imports. They were one of the earlier companies to begin importing Chinese NDM-86 rifles. They came with a desirable military green wood transit case. One thing to check is if your rifle has the "26" stamped in a triangle by the mag well. Some later imports did not. Also pop the top cover and see if it has the military Russian-style trigger group with self timer or the later import only trigger group and bolt carrier without sear trip. Also check and see what year is stamped on it. AFAIK 1979 rifles are rarer.

I saw that on Dragunov.net--- thanks!!!
The seller is sending pics--- I will check for "Triangle 26" and date stamp--- I will not be able to check on the trigger group (is there a cutoff date?).

The entire complement of BII for this rifle is as follows (keep in mind many if not most rifles were imported without all of these items)

    -Unique NDM-86 bayonet
    -5 mags
-Small rectangular black metal cleaning kit case
    -cleaning rods
-green metal transit case for Type-jjj scope containing scope, two spare bulbs, spare switch cover, screw driver, lens cloth, lens brush, rubber lens cover, two rubber eyecups, 1 metal boot for eyecup, case strap
    - soft green canvas carrying case for scope
-sling (usually canvas although some apparently were imported with leather or nylon slings)
    -manual
    -cheek pad
-canvas and brown "pleather" drag bag (I think only the Velvet cased NDMs had this)
    - soft green canvas drop case
    -sight adjustment tool
    -green plastic oil bottle

    Information from seller:

    Serial (213X)
    Stock (700041)
Scope mount (RS101 over 833 in circle over 700041)
Scope (appears to be PSO-1 in green box dated 85- Chinese script and numbered 203057)
Underneath forward of magazine well (70213X but date and number scrubbed--- replaced by YU008?)

Green wooden case and 2 magazines

Can I email pics to someone who is very familiar with this model to give me advice?

Post them up here if you want to, never bad to have additional reference pics so the community knows what is being discussed.

I understand if you don't want to post pics of the SN though so no hard feelings if you decide not to put the photos on here.

    Thanks

    Eric

Op asked in a pm what all I received with mine and since im away and typing on a cell phone I choose to quote the above except that I did not get the drop or drag bags and only received 2 mags, one still wrapped . I did get the wood transit case too.
