    gotcha on the cat food

Best thing to do with all items in your bag is to test everything and see how well they work if at all. Would suck to have to use something and it not work, just extra trash at that point.

Save dryer lint Get a big bag saved up in a zip lpc bag mix in Vaseline and seal up in a seal a meal bag. This is great for starting a fire. Rubbing on sun burn blisters, cuts ect, guess you could even use it to clean and lube your firearms, old lady ect. :P

Probably the best breed for someone who hates dogs, usually smart and independent (as much as a dog can be).
Their also vicious as hell if you cross 'em. Ours were trained to go for the throat.

I've got 2 cats and once their gone, I'm getting a Doberman. He will be Snydley Whiplash IV.

Where are you planning to bug out to?

If your planning on bugging out into the wilderness and playing Jeremiah Johnson, you might want to consider something else. I think BOB are a great idea, but people should remember that its best to have a destination in mind...a cabin in the woods away from major settlements, or for people who live in densely populated areas, head to that family members or friends house in the country.

yes 6 days a week and twice on sunday. Being able to bug out to i guess what? national forest? for a limited amount of time is nice, but you have to have a place of your own/family place to go to.

even just a couple acres or what have you and a lowes shed and some rain catchment/solar....and you're good to go. But bugging out to any place that you don't own and are not familiar with as a first and only option........not ideal.

For those people who are inclined to think that grabbing that BOB, and arming yourself for a life in the woods, there are truly few people that can do it. Even if your young, highly trained and in shape, and had the forethought to pre-position food/equipment stashes in your area, there are limits to what you can do alone.
This is not to say that BOB or get home bag is a bad idea, because its not, its just better to have a more comprehensive plan in place if you really have to leave forever.

I think the key to remember is that no matter what your resources, if you’re alone without the strength of a good group, you will be classified as “prey”.

I’m not a prepper/survivalist (though I would to get some food store up just in case) but I would to point out heading straight for the woods day one is a bit of a bad idea. Because everyone else is thinking of making a B-line for the woods as well.
