Yep. I'm one of them. Because I purchased one of these kits, future imports of the M21 is likely to happen.

If Zastava could offer an M21 in the $1000 - $1300 range AND IT RETAINED ITS MILITARY APPEARANCE I think they could find some buyers.
It think $900 to $11000 would be more appropriate and I think that they'd kill the crap out of Arsenal's 5.56x45 offerings.

Much of it may also come down to the character of those involved. IWI seems to have good character people in Israel and at IWI-USA. I don't know about Bulgaria, but the ownership of Arsenal, NV has provided poor customer service, poor QC and deception when it comes to what's being imported (last ones ever only to have a near identical firearm show up later).
Rights are inherent. They do not come from another's wallet.

The IWI presence is predicated on the Israel/USA political, social and economic relationship of the countries.
    Dunno about Serbia/USA.
Seems that foreign firearms manufacturing in the US has a restricted past.
FN being the biggest due to military contracts.
Some of the other Russian and Polish connections seemedto never get off the ground.
Will be interesting to see what happens.
Any new Zastava weapons could be welcome.

Someone on the files listed the US entity names.

    My early guess M91 = $2,200.00

AK action, as is the M76.
Ergos are superior, adjustable gas system, heavier barrel, bore centeted optics.
    But AK action.

In Czechia, the M91s are sold for almost 4K US. With optic.

To put it in perspective, the same seller sells the M92 for 950 USD.

So considering the M92 pistols are all over gunbroker for $650ish, that would put an M91 at 3K. Doubt they would sell many at that.

True people still underestimate, supply-demand and inflation estimates. Last time I checked i think the estimated production cost of an M21 was $6-700. People can whine all they want but it's perfectly fair to be able to make at least a 100% profit, these companies are operating under capitalist principals now instead of a blank check from the People's Republic. Hopefully if this comes to fruition we see the end of the NPAP line.

A complete but deactivated M21 - in stock in Germany as I type - is $1025.
M21 long version, deactivated assault rifle

If Zastava could offer an M21 in the $1000 - $1300 range AND IT RETAINED ITS MILITARY APPEARANCE I think they could find some buyers.

I also think they'd be smart to offer two M21 receiver models - one model that is dedicated to the Serbian 5.56mm mags and one model dedicated to the M16 NATO type 5.56 magazine. People have their preferences - satisfy both. They've already done the engineering and have the parts to offer those choices.

Then offer a braced pistol version of this.
M21 standard version, deactivated assault rifle

Zastava does/has produced a m21 pistol with the magazine well, as well as SBR model with the magazine well--it appears briefly in this video at 2:00. I'm sure they could produce any number of configurations, as there is not a lot of difference between the different models. If this works out we could see some really cool stuff. No brace needed on the model that you linked, the m21s/sb has a 14.5ish" barrel, and is probably about 16" with the flash hider. I'd rather they do a slightly longer barrel or perm attach the muzzle device, that's gonna be what I do with my kit once I get a barrel lined up.

IWI and to a degree Steyr have pulled off manufacturing items in the US - items that would otherwise be banned from import.

If the bulk of the parts were made in Serbia and the remaining US made parts installed by Zastava or their contractors in the US that would be very appealing.

    BAYONET LUGS FOR EVERYONE!
Maybe Zastava will be like CZ. CZ has a US subsidiary. Zastava might come out with new guns for the US market and make them in Serbia or the US depending on cost. Zastava seems like mostly a military supplier with some civilian guns. Hopefully they will make new handguns and rifles and possibly shotguns geared towards civilians. Most of CZ's guns are made in Czech republic. CZ's Safari Classic is made in the US by a different company. Some CZ shotguns are made in Turkey. I don't know how much of CZ's Scorpion is made in the US.

It is paper or vapor ware until it hits the retailers for sale though.
