    Russian AKS74 Stocks 75 thru 79

    Stocks used on rifles between 1975 to 1979. Rumor has it there may be one more than what is in the picture and maybe one before this era.

    I believe going right to left

    1975

    1976 to mid/late 1977

    mid/late 1977 to mid 1979

    mid 1979 to early 1990s

    the 76/77 one looks like the latch was higher or the rear trunnion/hinge angle was different?

    Thanks for the great reference pic.

    Mine looks like the 1975 version except the stamped part where it latches to the receiver doesn't look as pronounced/chunky.

    Was the '75 version the only one with the 2 holes drilled into the butt plate?

    Bad news for my '83 clone LOL
