welcome, congrats on the kit. hard to find one w/ a matching sight leaf.
i dont want to take away from it that isnt the point of what im about say but that is almost undoubtedly been reblued.
whether during a refurb or if it was done here. i cant see the cut part of the front stub but if thats blued it was done here of course.
    might have happened long ago.
you can see the light pitting on the front stub and dust cover under the new blue.
guessing nos furniture. i imagine the seller knows all that though.
like i said though amazing kit anybody would be stoked to own.

The rear stub looks parked, too. Numbers matching T3s are a hard find here in the US. Congrats!

As far as a middle section goes, you might get lucky and find a deact chunk but chances are it wouldn’t be cut right for your front stub. That leaves a Tortort or a MY guns rear stub but because of the metallurgy when you blue it you’ll more than likely see a difference. Good luck on your hunt for the missing chunk.

This is what the original owner since it was imported said. He is a larger seller on gunbroker so I hope his word is true.

It has not been re-blued, It has not been re-furbished. The metal parts of the Rifle

have not been touched. The Furniture is not New Old Stock. Excellent original furniture
was stripped and re-shellacked by Zrecto (the best in the business) to exact original
Russian specifications. This is an original non refurbed rifle in exceptional condition.

Thanks Jodabo. I will indeed be consulting those two options for the receiver. Thinking I need to find a 80% tortort

Take up pinakar on his offer, you donít want to weld it twice. Sell the rear stub.

Iím using a polish cut receiver for the reweld BR762 is doing for me. One cut, one weld to hide.

Since your using a perfect clone of the Russian receiver it will look as original as it can get.

Spend the money and do it right, send it to BR762 with the stub pinkar has. They arenít cheap but why would you do it any other way.

very nice kit! I have been watching the auction on and off since it popped up. I have a similar matching Bulgarian kit with the same length cut.
I am thinking at that length of cut a tortort would look so much better even if its not original. Good luck on the build!

Not better than a polish receiver.

    1. Polish stub
    2. Tort
    3. Pick one or two

I am curious if the cuts on the receiver are blued.
