I have one of these (like souvenir from old days in the army).
Use it at last New Year celebration

I've got an East German version of the same design. I opened it from the sealed military storage wrapper. Made in 1981. Bought it probably 25 years ago. I need to photograph it.

Sadly mine got a little rust when the box it was in was soaked when Hurricane Ike took the roof off a storage unit in 2008 - I could only get though one box at a time so it stayed wet for a while.
Constantly studying spots welds, mag well dimple shapes, center support rivet heads and selector markings for the last 12 years...

BTW - Keep your BFH away from my AK!

WTB Late East German 7.62 top cover and gas tube numbered 687.

East German made are relatively the best one. Mine is Bulgarian Made (same design) or repaired in Bulgaria (grips are different).
