Dont really know yet. I've wanted a mid 70s izzy for years and thanks to you I got it. Now I want it perfect. Already got the polish barrel just trying to decide on receiver. Lately there has been more options coming out for us guys who want more authentic Russian receivers. So I guess I'll just wait a little longer and see what comes to fruitation.

I will say though, that kit I got from you and the parts I already had, it's gonna be pretty dam cool!

An EARLY 3-piece cut Tula receiver I'm going to reweld and more than likely put a 1969 parts kit on unless anybody has an Early Tula trunnion for sale:

I wouldn't "waste" a 69 kit on that receiver, nor would I waste that receiver on a 69 kit.

69s already have that trademark Tula small simple

No doubt you are correct. But finding enough 1960-1962 Tula AKM parts, especially the trunnion, is no small feat and probably not going to happen. I'd rather have an ORIGINAL Tula made receiver on a '60s Tula parts kit even though the spot welds and dimple are different than 1969. Doesn't matter to me.
