    Another just for you Mike!

Russian Experimental 30rd "white" magazine, with longitudinal control window, developed by TsNIITOCHMASH for the AK-12 (V.V. Zlobinin design) -- showcased in 2004. The entire magazine is plastic, with the exception of the floor plate.

Kevin is a great guy and quite possibly has the single most impressive and complete AK mag collection these days. He keeps denying he has a monorail around his mag warehouse I know he totally has.

For the 7.62 mags, they were designed then field tested by Izhevsk/Izhmash. For the 5.45 mags, I have only seen the AG-4S and the choppy texture ones usually called "glass filled" I think my Izzy 45 rounder might be in this thread. I'd like to see some early plum and black polyamide. I have to imagine by that point, they were developed and sent straight to Molot for fielding and development.

Anybody have one of these 5.45 magazines with the hump? Any relation to mold 1 glass-filled mags. Looks like it doesn't have the stripper clip loader guides

I received a steel 5.45 from Russia today. Looks like the Russians milled off the bullet guide near the front so that these would work in common rifles.
