Not exactly sure on the Cyrillic letter on the Izhevsk trunnion code and didn't want to guess, but I posted pics of both of these in the Russian AK Serial Number Listing thread.

1969 Izhevsk, УН4383, trunnion code ?6, RGuns cut barrel kit
1969 Tula, TM5555, trunnion code 4459, RGuns cut barrel kit

Thanks, very nice parts! On ?6, that is a poorly struck E.

Wow, thanks, man! Some of these are very, very helpful! I do have a few follow-up questions, if you have time. Some of this seems out of place, so in order to maintain the integrity of the list I just have to ask, lol!

First, in HS, the English "S", I assume you are translating letters? As I explained in the first post, mixing English and Cyrillic can be quite confusing and any substitutions you guys make, even simple stuff like like typing a Latin "H" instead of a Cyrillic "Н", forces a database program to sort your serial number out of place, or reject it entirely.

Also, the "X" in ИХ, can you confirm it's not a Cyrillic Ж? I just ask since there's a well-known "ИЖ" series in RGUns 1969 kits, and that forging code would fit this trunnion right into that timeline. It could very well be the first "ИХ" on our database, so I just wanted to check.

On the A2, can you double-check that's not a poorly struck E? I ask because there are no other known A-series codes during that time of the year, or any time of the year to be honest. Not yet, anyway

Sorry to be such a pain, my friend! It's not like you are busy or anything, right!

Due to lite strikes, worn stamps and hurried production, your assumptions are more than likely correct. I spent a great deal of time using magnification out in direct sunlight

in order to amass these numbers. Using your OP and records here, I finally listed these as they appeared. I suggest making corrections in order to keep the program running

smoothly. I did my best and knew there would have to be compromises or corrections made. It was tough for me to list these as they appear, but I wanted you to view as

seen by me and for you to decide on adjustments. My second guessing could have unintentionaly skewed your study.

glad to know I'm not the only one man! It's frustrating as hell having a code or serial number right under your nose and not being able to read the damn thing! But oh well, the stamped numbers/proofs is one of the things I think that gives Soviet stuff that much more character than if they were perfectly engraved/easier to read

That is what I thought too but wasn't certain and I didn't want to jeopardize the integrity of your database. Thanks!

71 Tula ЕA 3203 trunion code 9820 -- private sale, non matching, mostly tula kit. The A may be an Д -- the the right leg is missing and it has a flat top?

    Looks like I have a '69 izzy YH2157 from R-guns
I guess it's a E6 code, kinda hard to tell. The "E" wasn't hit very hard.

Much appreciated, but keep in mind we are collecting forging codes in this thread. It is stamped on the top of the trunnion.

Thanks for the new additions, guys!
