1970 Tula AKM from Sportsmans guide

I just received my Parts Kit yesterday from Sportsmans guide. The Trunion is stamped 1970r E5855, selector lever faintly scratched 106, and the rest of the #'s are ry3962. The barrel stub is still in the Trunion so I will have to demil it myself. Grip is Plum 1-1, and the Wood parts are slightly off in color. Upper Handgurad and Buttstock match, lower handguard is a dull brown color.
Can you guys take a look at the Triggerguard and Buttstock and let me know if this is correct for a 1970 Tula, these two parts I am not sure about.
    Thanks.

Trigger guard is fine, buttstock is for a 72' and later tula. You need a stock with the swivel underneath.
One day I will have a nice collection of AKs... instead of a nice collection of cardboard boxes.

Thanks ironeagle. I had that strong feeling the swivel was in the wrong spot for a 1970, I was hoping I was wrong. That realy sucks.

Would you consider selling that stock or trading? I have a 72 built up and that is exactly what I need.

The later batches had the barrel stub, pin, and receiver stub still in place due to the egged holes.
    Want to buy:

    TYPE 1 kit
    North Korean kit

I have nothing planned for the Barrel Stub. I just dont know when I will be ablet to send it off to Chuck for front end work, then I would have him demil it at that time. Need to gather up some cash for a Barrel then send it off to Chuck.

1970? so you need a different rear trunnion, different butt stock, also looks like the lower is Izzy?
My first kit was a 1970 and was almost exactly like this one. The plus is you are getting Russian parts. The Negative is you will probably need to do some swapping to get what you need for the kit.

Izzy style cast rear trunnion. The one you want is milled, flat all the way across instead of having those little ledges that angle downwards, and has a round "donut" hole milled through it.

I want to know where the Izzy front trunnions are.
