    Romanian uniforms

I have another thread in the Field Gear and Bayonets section of this forum, but I thought this topic does not belong there.
I will try to post some more pictures as I find them to complete the image of those times.

Some depictions are entirely accurate, a lot of people simply forgot how everything was back then and in some cases there is no more of the original equipment and uniforms left.
You will see in the images below some uniforms which did not belong to the military, but were used by the Police (Militia as it was called back then). The (dark) blue ones are the Police/Militia uniforms. Light blue ones belonged to the Air Force.

    Red color - Infantry
    Green - Border Guard
Black - Tanks, Artillery, Radio communications units, Army Corps of Engineers, Transportation, Air defense (Rockets as they call it), Construction
    Violet - Administration
    Blue - Air Force
Dark Red (Burgundy) - Medical units (doctors, nurses, etc)
    Dark Green - Mountain Infantry

So again, for the field gear equipment please refer to that forum area.

I like many of the older Romanian camo patterns.

It wasn't much of a pattern.
    Just solid colors.
In the 90's they started adding camo which quickly changed every 2-3 year I think.

Do you have any idea what the white bayonet hangers are for? Or are they Iraqi, or some other country. Do you have any pictures of them being worn?

Very nicely done uniform and gear displays.

I had done the same thing with my WW2, VN, DDR, Soviet uniforms and gear in my study. I have not put them back up for a while as they were scaring the wife, grandkids and guests, lol.

I have no idea about this one.
I can't recall any branch of the RO military using the white color hanger.
I am not saying they were never issued, I just don't know anything about these ones.
Usually the Militia (Police) had white and gray leather belts. I think traffic police had the white ones and the others gray. But I don't think they ever had bayonets issued. For sure they had a few types of AKMs, but I really don't think bayonets were part of their gear. I could be wrong of course.

Found some images with the old (Communist Era) Police uniforms.
You can see the white and gray leather. Traffic and Oppressors (hahaha).

I think I figured it out.
    Romanian Parade uniform.
It's the hardest thing to cross my mind since this was never a "regular military branch".

I'm not sure if the video will show here in this post, but I'll try anyway.
    Air Force Paratroopers.
I don't know what movie this is, but there are a lot of AKMs there.
