    AIMS-74 Scope Rails

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that most of the domestic AIMS-74's didn't come with a scope rail while most of the export AIMS-74's did (or at least it was common for the exports to have rails). My two Marcolmar AIMS-74 kits didn't come with scope rails, but I'd like to have them if I can find them. Does anyone know where to get correct AIMS-74 scope rails?

I donít know how anyone can collect these guns without owning Rob Stotts AK books. The electronic version of the books comes up to around $100 for all of them and you will never have to ask these questions again. Well, you will have many many less questions.

He did one full book on just Romanian Ak74ís

Which are MD86 if domestic and AIMS74 if export. AIMR74 is export shorty.

There are both non railed and railed domestic MD86ís, the best place to get one is off someone that stripped a imported romy gun. The real rails are pretty easy to tell apart from a replica.

Is this the same type of rail they used? I have yet to own a 5.45x39 Romanian.

M+M brought in the virgin Romanian current production kits. They are parting out a few on GB.

They have these genuine Romanian scope rails. I've not seen another type in use by Romania.

Yes, that seems to be the same rail that came with my Marcolmar kits.

Rails seem to have been a rarity, yes.

If you want to be "clone correct", what can you put on it? Nothing.

The proper night vision, I have never seen for sale on the collector market, ever.

There were no "clone correct" day optics.
