    RPK kits at AoA

Kind of neat to see Romanian RPK kits. Although the price point may be a little high by some opinions at $399.

They are also selling some water damaged md63 kits for $229.

If anyone picks up some kits, please post pics.

They are't all damaged or worn. Add the hand select fee and specify late 60's, mostly matching, mention Chris Cox sent you.

Me and him have been talking about this for months and I know for sure 67 - 69 should be a safe bet if you order fast and add the hand select fee. 66 is the earliest kits he has, I am 90% sure they are all gone.

Besides Nodak and going through the trouble of bending your own AKbuilder flat any one know of another source for non-Yugo RPK receivers?

It would be nice if Recreator or Childers would make some.

You can make a undrilled for rivets., Zastava pattern receiver work. The rear angle of the receiver would need some adjustment.

Depend on how much you wanna spend and what your intended usage is gonna be.

Doesn't KVAR still sell RPK barrels?

I got my tracking # today... Recreator is going to be making receivers... im calling him tomorrow.

I have pics of a real 65, 72, 74, 77 and 85 so we can use those as reference.

Iím using a really nice OG barrel 77 kit as a donor, Iíll pull the barrel/bipod, and pack it up to sell.

If someone wants a really nice mismatched 77 kit (front end parts, wood, front trunnion , gas tube, sight leaf match)

Then the rear end/moving parts match... I will be selling it cheaper than these kits are.

    Japanese deacts? Carpet looks familiar.

The 2nd bipod variant appeared around 1974 so I think you are on target with the first pics being 1974.

3rd Variant bipod appeared by 1977 - possibly earlier.

Mag well dimples were gone by 1977 - possibly earlier.

I keep looking for intact 1975 and 1976 Rom RPK rifle photos to narrow down the transition on bipods and mag well dimples but I have not yet found any pictures.

The first run of Nodak NDS-7 receivers had no dimples.

I wonder if Recreator will make smooth side receivers?

Constantly studying spots welds, mag well dimple shapes, center support rivet heads and selector markings for the last 12 years...

BTW - Keep your BFH away from my AK!

WTB Late East German 7.62 top cover and gas tube numbered 687.
