Two Rivers Arms Arabic Maadi AKM

    Hello all,

Just received my Arabic Egyptian fixed stock Maadi AKM from Two River's Arms! I bought this kit in February of this year after searching for the "right one" for so long, sent it to them in May, and just got it back after eagerly awaiting it's completion. I am BEYOND happy with how it turned out. The professional communication from day 1 of emailing them, to the follow up as it was being built, and eventually receiving it yesterday; cannot praise them enough. Fit and finish is perfect and exactly what I was after / requested from them. Every rivet is perfect and exact, action is butter smooth, finish is exactly what I wanted (nice and even dark gloss black). I hope to make it to the range within the week or so and iron it out. In the mean time here are some pictures I got of it today. Will update after range session. I cannot put this thing down!

Rifle is built on a Childer's Receiver and Virgin Romanian barrel.

    Beautiful.

I remember when the complete Egyptian Maadi AKM's were first imported. The first AK's that I remember being available here.

I do remember wanting one. I don't think they were as nicely put together as yours, though.

    Congratulations!

Looks good. With some good building the Maadi kits can look very sharp.
They often do take tweaking based on the parts tolerances.

Very nice. Does your handguard still have the eagle stamp? I had my kit for a long time and never knew it was there til someone else pointed it out.

Thank you. I looked at it all over the best I could and couldn't see any markings. Don't know where specifically they might have been. Only place I see a partial / unreadable half stamp if it's that is on the right side lower handguard.

I wanted some Russian Waffles for this rifle and found 2 x NOS. They have the look I want for it and are sweet! Tons of stamps! Messing around and wanted more pictures to share. Bored indoor shots in the house... Got 2 Bakelite 30s in the mail today as well. A Mold 40 Izhmash and Mold 70 Tula! No official review yet but have 250 rounds down range and it's dead on! Not one hiccup. Brown Bear, Silver Bear, and Golden Tiger with no malfunctions. It's literally been out of the safe every night since I've got it back and chilling while on the computer listening to music, etc.

Nefertiti got a makeover recently. Crutch Folding stock (media blasted, sprayed with appliance epoxy, and baked in the oven at 400* for 1 hour), blue bakelite PG, and bayonet. I am slowly starting to love it. It's different but neat. Gonna swap back and forth from fixed, brown PG, and bayonet to this (other option) when I feel necessary.

FINALLY sourced an immaculate Egyptian blue bayonet. No yellow glue! Required some minor fitting with a dremel after work then it slid right into place. Planning on refinishing it with appliance expoxy and letting it rest against tin foil for several warm / sunny days to match the rest of the rifle. Club foot, blue bakelite PG, and bayonet. My heart is full! lol.

Man, that really looks good. You have done a great job bringing all of the components together.
Your choice of lighting shows the blue really well on my end.
