    Welcome to the group!

The Norinco 56-1 was available in three barrel lengths - 355mm, 415mm, and 483. Most of us are used to seeing the 415mm which in the states is called 16.33 inches. My guess is the one up for sale has the 355mm (14 inch) barrel although it looks like it might be shorter than that.

All I can find is the N.E.D.I. is a relatively new Chinese company, North East Defense Industries, that makes a range of fantasy rifles based on the Type 56 for Swiss retailers.

No idea if they are good rifles or not, but they spelled Spetsnaz wrong unless that's how you do it over there.

These are mostly a European civilian market product, and have been around since the 1980s in some shape or form. Never imported into the USA as far as I know, outside of maybe a couple stockless "pistols" as a import sample.

For domestic use, the Chinese made the Type 56C, which is very different.

Recent years allot of neat Chinese clones of Russian AK103s, etc have come up as well.
