Bought this parts set a few months ago, 5 weeks to get the approved form 1 back. I used one of the bentmetal blanks, machined the rails . Parkerized then powdercoated HK black.

That there is pretty nice. Have you considered the custom work for the left-side selector lever?

I think my Krebs KTR-03S has one of those, it is sort of difficult to use. Besides, I think it would void my warrantee.

    A different Bulgarian

My Armory-USA SSR-85-C-2. Just an outstanding rifle of very high quality and one of a kind...new AK-47 parts with the heavy barrel, etc. on a 1.6mm stamped receiver. Outstanding combination. Some heavy iron but tough as nails and shoots like a milled rife. Made in Bulgaria.

It came parkerized and I finished it with KG Industries 1600 satin teflon. I also put the laminated wood on it, Polish AK-47 handguards, Romanian AKM buttstock which I stained to match. Not totally pleased with it, have a Polish AKM stock I may put on it instead. The Romanian stock was very oversize so I had a lot of wood to work with to reshape it nicely, take the waves out, and fit it to the metal.

How do you like that stock set? I'm thinking of getting the same thing. Is it Warsaw or Nato length?

    I think it's M16A1 length (NATO).

The stock set is a good improvement, better ergonomic and recoil reduction, but the rubber recoil pad can grip a little on clothing.
