I remember Templar posted some Indonesian Special Forces carrying some one time, but don't recall what thread (or what board for that matter) he did it on. Be worth a google, I suppose.

Nope, wasn't me.....but Another 48hrs. on AR15.com posted a picture of some Indonesian SF types using the Arsenal Bulgaria AR-SF in 5.56mm, basically a milled receiver 5.56mm Krink with an underfolding stock.

I haven't seen any of the M2's being used anywhere.

Yeah thats the pic I have on my Avatar. You wouldn't happen to know where I could get any info on the AR M2F? I'm looking to make a clone not sure about it. I'm collecting parts right now. One of the major things I'm wondering is if it had one of the thumb selectors like the AR M9.

I don't think that they have the thumb selector, those are being put on the latest rifles, and the M2 has been "in production", meaning on Arsenal's website, for at least 4 years.

I have the Arsenal Bulgaria video brochure and it never even rated a mention.

You might want to call Arsenal/K-Var and explain what you're wanting to build and see if they have any info. They would be the go-to guys.

Sorry I couldn't help out any more than that.

That's not the pic that I remember. The pic I remember had a team of Indonesian SF in one of those motorized rubber boats enroute somewhere. I distinctly remember one soldier had an AK-104 style front end, an under folder on a milled reciever, and a 5.56 waffle mag in it. I swear it was you Templar, but it could have been someone else. This was at least 6 months back and probably longer.

I think I know the one you're talking about.......but man, it's probably been at least a year or so.....I don't have the pic anymore, I changed computers and lost a lot of stuff.

One has to wonder about the lethality of 5.56 in such a short barrel (8 inches?) given the fact that 5.56 has been criticized out of the M4 barrel though everyone acknowledges its effectiveness out of the M16 length barrel. Wonder if anyone has done any tests about fragmentation out of the krink barrel.

Hey Templar do you think they would have a scope mount on it? What about the sight would it be graduated to 300m or 1000m?

Dont they use a weird optic like the PK-AS but it sits higher. I'm trying to find out if this weapon was designed for LE or Millitary purposes. The sight should be the correct one when I purchase the barrel from K-Var because it comes with it. Anyway what's the newest style scope mount Bulgaria is using right now? Here's a pic of that scope I was talking about, not sure how you can even use that but....

Nope, no rails on underfolders, at least not Bulgarian or Russian. They won't clear the stock struts when they're folded.

The Yugoslavs did put some rails on their underfolders but they sit much higher on the receiver than the Warsaw Pact rails.

I was just going for the closest I could get to the real thing so I'm going to pass on the scope mount. Thanks for the info I forgot about the stock folding and the scope mount. Another thing will an underfolding stock clear an 5.56 mag? Its a little straighter maybe longer not sure.
