WTH Am I doing Wrong ???????????

I have an AK with an East German side folding stock that Im trying to remove and no matter what I do I CANT get it out of the receiver.

    WTF !!

I took the screw out ( it only has 1, the rear), Im beating the shit out of it with a rubber mallet and I still cant get it out.

Am I missing something, is there a trick to this ?

There are supposed to be 2 screws. Also the EG folders require the removal of the pistol grip nut and screw..IIRC.

I only see 1 screw - in the rear hole of the tang.

    The front hole has nothing.

I also have the grip/screw out, and still cant get it out.

But I do think I bent the stock pounding on it.

This is what my two East German folders look like. There's only one screw on the top.

They are a tight fit in the receiver. If you've got the top screw and the pistol grip screw and nut removed, douse it all in light oil to help get things moving. Wiggle it side to side, and up and down until it loosens. It will come out.
