East German "RPK-74" magazine developed for the LMG-500 family. Some were issued for troop trails, and it was supposed to enter production in 1990, but the Wall came down.

    Sweet!

May I use that photo with proper attribution?

Dumb question: did Izzy 30 round bakes ever, even in exotic guide, come from the factory with polymer followers?

It's always possible. What people see on the market today, however, are swap-outs that happen when surplus comes into the country with mixed followers and base pads. Things get mixed and matched with little regard for the original configuration in the country of origin.

Older bakes would have typically metal followers and metal base pads, while polymer mags would have plastic followers and plastic base pads.

I see the clear Izzy in the guide...the one on GB looks different, specifically regarding the metal reinforcements. I don't see any in the clear Izzy in the guide, but they are very pronounced in the GB auction pic. Is it just a variant of the clear Izzy or...?

Also, there are polish all polymer 545 mags to add to the list. Allegedly made by the Poles for Ukraine, but I dunno.

They're the same. I'm certain of it.

I've had some of these for awhile. They'll be added to the guide in the future.

BTW, if "shiny" vs "matte" is a different category of mag, why not break out the differences in bakes? IIRC there's 4 generations of Izzy bake, and I think 2 Tula? I forget, but the point is, it seems like a change in physical magazine shape would rate categorization?
