Spring follower interchange on steel and Bakelite mags

Is the spring and follower the same/interchange on bakelite and steel 7.62x39 mags?

I don’t have any steel, only Bakelite and waffle.

I think the spring and follower will interchange between steel and Bakelite, Csspecs use to sell US made followers that fit both.

    Cool thank you!

I’ve been meaning to order some steel mags, but haven’t for some reason.

Better order some steel com block surplus soon. They are definitely NOT getting cheaper and seem to increase in price every month.

Yeah I’ve noticed that. I just don’t really like them 😞 I like Bakelites and circle tens better.

I’ll get some though. I mean, I gotta have at least a dozen steel mags minimum right?

    How many is enough?

If you’re a collector, a dozen different steel mags won’t be enough. If you’re dreaming about fighting a post-apocalyptic war, then a dozen might be about right, but 12 loaded steels are pretty heavy when you’re running 3 second rushes. If you’re a casual shooter, 4 or 5 is plenty.

You’ll never wear them out, nor will you break them in ordinary use.

Collector, shooter, stockpiling, and eventually competitive shooting.

I’d love to have a few mags from each country, but would be content with 2 East German, 2 Polish, etc etc.

I don’t need 50 of them, I’d be content with 20-30 mags total.

I tend to have for 10ish mags for each handgun or rifle.

Frankly, I don’t really like the steel mags that much. I just feel like I have to have some more for collective reasons than actual usage.

I use my Bakelites, even my super nice ones. I prefer the look of them. I’ll probably switch to using the waffle mags however. And when I get steel ones, will probably switch to those just to preserve the Bakelites.
