My favorite type would have to be a toss-up between speckled Tula plums and plum Molot RPK74 mags. However, my favorite mag that I own is, hands down, my speckled Tula-esque Izhmash 30 round plum mag which is shown on the right:

7.62x39 bakelites are my favorite..sadly Im in a ban state so all I have are the 14 or 15 I had from before 2000 that I got while working film props..a guy had them thought they were chinese and sold them to me super cheap..second would be east german or russian steel mags..for my 5.45 I use Russian plum that came from East Germany painted half black with MADE IN THE DDR stickers on them...and they were sanitized like the later plum imports that came from Bulgaria that Ive seen online..Id love the new Izmash Ak 100 series mags but I dont want to have to block them to 10 rounds and destroy such a magazine..

The blocks aren't permanent, are they? Thought you guys just had to put a length of dowel rod in from the bottom so the follower bottoms out at 10rds.

I like the simplicity of the true black Izhmash 5.45. For style I'd have to say the plum 45 round Molot takes it.

Shit, I like them all. Been collecting since the 1990s, and have no plans to stop anytime soon.
