I've seen alot of people talking about the different types of Russian 7.62x39 ammo. And it seems like Golden Tiger and Brown Bear are preferable to Wolf. But how do the three types really compare?
That has not been my experience. Barnaul (Brown Bear) is better than Wolf. When I say "better", I mean better accuracy and better reliability. I have never experienced a failure to fire with Barnaul ammo. I can't say the same thing about Uly and Tula ammo.surf99 said:All about the same. Not a lot of differance in the commercial Russian 7.62 ammo.

It isn't opened yet, because I haven't built an AK in 7.62 yet, lol. I bought the last one on the shelf at a local place (Outdoor America), I want to say it was $110/700rds. It was in a box but when I opened it up to check it out, there was a spam can inside, so I didn't go any further, though I did snap one pic. pic herecruzie27 said:if you did not open it yet i would love to buy it off of you or work some kinda ammo trade for it,....but if you did crack it open please be so kind as to post some pictures.
i am looking to get 2-3 more spam cans and just let them sit for a "rainy day",.. so if this guy you got it from has more please point me in his direction.
I was just wondering if Outdoor America had any leftmr_ouija said:It isn't opened yet, because I haven't built an AK in 7.62 yet, lol. It was the last they had on the shelf over by the shotgun shells and such. There were loose boxes behind the counter, I believe, but no more cans unless they had them elsewhere.billyw said:I was just wondering if Outdoor America had any left
