I have no personal experience with that barrel, but High Standard AR parts have been more than satisfactory to me. High Standard's Houston operation was close to my home.

My friend Wayne Sandlin - formerly of Global Trades and later on his own Texas River Armory - was one of High Standard/Interarms contract AK builders. I'm certain he did builds with those barrels. I knew Wayne to be a competent AK gunsmith. I'd ask him but he passed away last year - only reason I reveal the contract building he did for them.
Constantly studying spots welds, mag well dimple shapes, center support rivet heads and selector markings for the last 12 years...

BTW - Keep your BFH away from my AK!

I have a interarms polish AKM with a high standard barrel. IMO, there are better barrels out there these days. But there are worse also.

IMO, for the price id buy a akbuilder barrel. Ive used many and they are high quality US made barrels.

Windham Weaponry has a sale on AK barrels if you don't mind drilling gas ports. No charge for Melonite finish. They were built for Troy.

I have several hundred of these barrels.
I've built about 30 of them now. No complaints here, all go together and shoot fine. Although, I haven't suppressed one or put one on paper.
