? On pistol grip reinforced plate.

I notice some underfolder receivers have them and some don't. Also some makers offer them some don't. What is the reason for them and also do you really need one.

I was told it's the weak part of the receiver where the PG is located so a plate was added .

It depends on the country of origin and in kit builds it depends on the builder/owners choice.
If you want accuracy of build for a certain country, year and model then it is an individual correct part to add.
There are different styles of reinforcement plates as well.
An underfolder will run without the reinforcement plate.

Yes it's going to be a Pakistani Kyber Pass build. With an UNDERFOLDING stock. Nothing fancy or historically correct. So I guess I'll go without one. The receiver I'm getting dont have one on it.

On a Khyber build., there is plenty of options.
It is easy to add a plate to any build. Just a spot welder away for adding it.
Or with a Khyber the plate can be riveted vs welded etc.
With or with out.,no big deal.
If doing a Ruskie Khyber., maybe add the plate?
