What fore arm is that you are using? Looks very Magpul like.
It's a Magpul PTS handguard for the Bushmaster ACR. You have to track down the heat shield for it on your own but it's nice to be able to attach any Magpul MOE accessories to your carbine as well as the great stuff that IWC and other companies make for those units.

So my worst fears were that someone had drilled the original rivets in and used the barrel as a bucking bar. This was used years ago when these kits were $60 and people were too cheap to buy tools for pulling the barrel to do it the right way. Looks like this one had its barreled pulled originally but the rivets were still ugly. One can only wonder.

I had to remove the rear sight because the handguard won't slide over the front sight block and had to go over the rear sight block. Once I press the barrel in it can only come off if it's cut off. It almost looks factory the way it is now. I sent these pics to the rifles owner and he wants to keep the TAPCO muzzle brake on it because he likes the way it looks. I've just got to test fit everything and refinish. Should be done in the next few weeks.

I never used the Magpul PTS handguards like I planned. They kept shooting themselves loose. This was the final form of this sad AK build. Now it's a fighting machine.

I used GunSkins. The have a license so it's the real deal and looks very good. One $40.00 sheet did the entire gun and three mags.
