All that has to be done is re-finish

25 yrds with out the red dot zeroed. All my shots were on the target! The shots outside the white were not mine.

Sweet glad you got it done! Why did you remove the rear trunnion?

It looks like it doesn't have the slot, on the right side, for the stock release?
Yet in one of the pics with it gone, you can see a shadow of where it should be.

ETA: Strike that. Looking at it again, it looks like the release slot was just covered by that plate where the stock normally attaches.
    Your question still stands.

This was done to make it easier to cut the holes for the rear latch. I used the latch that was provided from the stock set from ak-builder.

Still a few more lose ends to tie up, but overall a PIA project.

I personally would have left the trunnion in and used it as a guide for cutting the holes but at the end of the day the result is the same! Looks good and now I know to start with the 106ur rifle so I don't have to do all that work lol, chopping the barrel and enlarging the gas port is far less work not to mention you don't have to refinish, that's what I did with my 107ur and other than getting the damn GB/FSB off it was cake.

I didn't remove the rear trunnion when I did mine. Just seemed like more work. Don't even have to refinish the gun now.

what all did you have to do for the front latch? Did other than drill the hole and cut the rectangular slot was there any machining to do to the trunion? Awesome build by the way!
