Looks like a LRRP unit to me, correct?

Tabuk (Iraqi made), DDR, and Russian were highly prized by their users. I actually had in my hands a real deal DDR para that looked like it came from the factory, and offered the guy $300 for it, but he refused. I wish I had a picture of that one...

Its a real shame you guys didn't get to bring the good stuff home. You earned the right to IMO.
I do notice a lot of the AKs in some of these pics have no top covers.

Some from Desert Storm. Not so many pics pre-digital age, but my LT was smart enough to take a few photos. RPG's, Abandoned Mortar pits, Trailer Armory. Quit a lot of stuff.

Reminds me of a story from my gunshop hangout that closed down about 10 years ago. This gunshop was 15 blocks from the Texas Tech campus and many students came to buy including exchange students. I had a conversation with a Chinese student. A Vietnamese border guard post was taking shots at the Chinese border guard post. After warnings and some months passing the Chinese Army crossed over and the Vietnamese guards dropped their AKs immediately. What shocked the Chinese soldiers was the Vietnamese had been shooting at them with Chinese AK47s.
"War is a Racket" no doubt about it.

I also purchased a couple bring backs from Iraq during that time. One was a Chinese SVD/Dragunov 4x scope. Really nice quality. Ended up flipping it.

In a scathing piece about Russiagate, former CIA analyst Ray McGovern recently recalled a statement made in 1981 by then-CIA Director William Casey during the first meeting of President Ronald Reagan’s Cabinet. Casey told this gathering, “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”
