Galil Dust Covers - Are they all the same?

    Hi gents,

since I'm not very familiar with the Galil product line I'm asking for a little help: I just got myself two Galil dust covers and I'm going to keep one and modify it so it will sit on top of my customized Type-56 and I'll probably sell the other one.

Are there any differences in value between these two covers?

I have the same question, my kit came with a stamped number. Your top covers look scrubbed and hand etched?

Yes, they are hand etched for sure. Well, I just picked one up and made the modifications: had to shorten the cover from the front for a few millimeters and make the recoil spring assy hole larger. Now my front sight is way too tall and I need to find a replacement. Customizing is a never ending story

There are different Galil dust covers. There is an early version that is quite different from the two in your picture.

We've got a hell of a lot more in common with the fellow citizens we're being trained to hate than the puppetmasters training us to hate them.

Galil receiver cover sights are not on the same plane as an AK as you found out.
Not an easy mod to find the right height part.

Anyone know where you can find a Galil dust cover or gas tube with a picatinny rail? Thanks in advance!
