Early 699 Micro Galil Reweld / Postie - Pictures

Iíll be repainting it this weekend, itís got spray paint on the receiver now... my Efile submission finally went through so I figured I would share an uncommon rifle with you guys. If you have a chance to buy/build one I highly suggest it.

I used a new Lewis and Black barrel, the only issue was the gb journal was hard chrome lined and a solid 6 thou over. I reamed the gb which worked fine. Gas port was drilled @ .081, I didnít want to deal with pressing the GB off again since it was already a very tight fit.

This one has some interesting features, bayo lug (weird I know), accessory rail tac welded to the gas tube, early front end/Handguard with 90 degree gas port and normal charging handle.

The gas block/FSB is actually a lot more uncommon and very different then most you see... the ears are straight on the sides and the mounting hole for the HG isnít in the place that they normally are.

Itís getting a Mepro M21 today too...

That looks great. Awesome job on the receiver. Did you have all the sections or did you have to fill in the missing pieces? The M21 is a bit big, but it's my favorite non-magnified optic. Here's my Micro Galil. It's built on a CNC Warrior receiver.

Here are M21's riding on my Galil Aces.
