    Galil ACE Availability

It appears that the Galil ACE supply is kind of drying up, not the "pistols" but the full length/actual stock rifles, particularly in 7.62 NATO.

Is there something going on? Are they being phased out?

    Thanks for info.

As far as I can tell, they never even made the 20" .308 version that was originally described. That was the only ACE version that interested me.

We've got a hell of a lot more in common with the fellow citizens we're being trained to hate than the puppetmasters training us to hate them.

Never really seen them to begin with. They were always out in the wild. Reports and videos of people having them but only seen one, once, locally. I even kinda forgot about them. Not sure what's going on with IMI

Shit..I hope not. I have a 5.56 and love it. I know someone who has a .308 and loves it too. Best AK evolution out there IMO.

I love them all. Have the 556 rifle, 556 pistol, 762x39 rifle, 7.62x51 rifle. I wish the barrel on the x51 was a bit longer, and with that break it has, it is lould as hell.

How's the recoil on the .308?

All the Aces have bery reasonable recoil, especially the 308.

As a side note, a Saker 762 with 556 end cap will suppress a 556 pistol/rifle easily. Too much back pressure for the bigger calibers unless you use an adjustable piston (Saker, anyway).

The Galil 386 was probably one of the most accurate of all my Galils. Someone speculated the shorter barrel was less influenced by the bolt carrier and gas piston movement. IDK.

My impression is that IWI and IWI USA are on the smaller size as far as manufacturers and importers go. They’re bringing in a good variety of products, so having everything in stock at all times is difficult. Also consider that IWI USA has to do 922r conversions and only has so much capacity. It’s likely that if they perceive demand for something they previously imported, they bring more in. If not, the ship may have sailed. I have a IDF Tavor that I bought when they were available. It’s a really cool rifle, but it’s highly unlikely that they’ll ever be imported again. I bought the Ace 5.56x45 and 7.62x39 factory SBR’s because they were available. Next on my list is an X95 SBR.

I have an unfired 7.62 NATO ACE available. I have a RS regulate full length rail for it as well. PM if interested or need info.
