New guy, new guns, new problem m92 pap

Hello from NC! I have some land, and love driving my neighbors nuts hammering steel with various guns. I just got into the AK world and love them..currently have a c39v2 magpul. Runs like a champ. 2" groups or better iron sights with krebs peep at 100 yrds. Figued I'd scoop a m92 for a krink project. Got it last night. It fires, and jams/ locks all the way back every shot. Tries to push out the bolt carrier some, but larger issue is the bolt catches the receiver edge. Here's some pics. Century was contacted 3 times today, and I sent them pictures. No email back on what I should do, or If I should send it in. I honestly think the fcg, specifically the hammer is pushing up on the carrier to hard. Don't really wanna go grinding on a brand new gun... Thanks in advance if you got advice. Did clean and oil before operating.

My old Century Draco (one of the very early imports) did that exact same thing. I swapped the FCG out for a Romanian one and it resolved the problem.

Fixed it. Lightly re contoured the hammer. Polished some areas too. Shooting good. uploadfromtaptalk1458431300312.jpg

    Welcome.

If you are saying "contacted" I assume you where sending Emails. I have always got through to someone on the phone when calling them and the return issues where taken care of stress free. Looks like you might have solved the issue, but I would do more testing to ensure proper function and dont hesitate to send it back if you dont feel its 100%.

I bought a brand new PAP M92 in June of last year. Never had any issues out of it and now it's got over 400 rounds downrange. A month ago, I was thinking about getting another one but ended up getting something else.
    Glad you got your working.

Pretty common for the Pap rifles to have a pretty stiff action at first, with the bolt hanging/dragging the hammer etc. until broken in and smoothed out after several hundred rounds of hand cycling or firing.

They always where fast in answering my question or taking care of my concerns on the phone. Hopefully you get in touch with them Monday if its still something you want to do.

This gun is gunna be a krink build so I don't care to deal with them again. As it will probably be modified out of warranty. I was just disappointed that a brand new gun wasn't even function checked before sending out. Imo it was unsafe. Either way I don't mind tooling on things. I've been a technician for Mercedes-Benz 12 years now. You have to get creative some times.
