    My NY compliant RAS47

Well here it is. NY compliant RAS47. Wish it was an Npap or WASR but I'm hopeful it will serve me well. I'll be keeping a close eye on wear and will be sure to keep you guys posted. Thoughts? 001.JPG002.JPG003.JPG

Sucks that your state limits you. Hope you like it!

    Three optional things:
#1 Swap out the bolt carrier/bolt (Polish version) if that wear issue concern you
#2 Buy the 30 rd mags pinned to 10 rounds or less for state compliance.
#3 Move the heck outta NY if at all possible.

How, even in the wildest imagination of the liberal mind, does neutering a pistol grip lessen the lethality of a weapon? It is so absurd.

Problem with #1 is the cast front trunnion remains. I'd leave it like it is, enjoy the rifle, and get a field gauge. The rifle will probably be fine as most are safe queens and are shot with so few rounds over their lives. It's one thing to pour money into a C39 with a good receiver, but I wouldn't pour more money into an IO or RAS47....

I drove 175 miles one way today to pick up a NY compliant Npap at a gun shop. Traded in the RAS and took an extra $200 hit to get the pap, but I feel MUCH better with the Npap! Pictures and post to follow! Wish I'd found the pap before I bought the RAS, but lesson learned. The Npap seems worlds better than the RAS just by fit and feel already. Gas pston is looser than on my Polish parts kit I have tucked away though.

Congrats on the Npap. I love mine. Get rid of the shepard crook and get a power custom pin retainer about $5 and you are all set.

No doubt you are correct sir. I forgot about the RAS47 casting. Also another reason why I never bought a C39V2 after you get done swapping out the carrier group you almost have as much $ invested as an Arsenal. To me its not worth the time and problems of parts and headspacing issues. Its a crying shame century monkeys up these rifles.
