    OT - Dog lead

My dog (95 pound Airedale Terrier) has broken just about every manageable size of log chains out there. Would it be possible to braid paracord in a 4 strand braid to make a dog lead 30-50 feet long? I want to use it camping but I dont want something super heavy and takes up too much room. For that long how much would I need to get? 300 feet? 400 feet? Or am I just thinking too much and this wouldn't work at all?

If he is breaking logging chains, i dont doubt he can chew through paracord.

I went down to the local surplus store and got some climbing rope. I melted the ends so it won't fray, then tied a loop on one end and a clasp onto the other. It will last a lifetime ( in dog years)!
When can I get my country back?

Some decent steel braided cable with swedged ends may work better. I had some I got from Tractor Supply that held a 75lb Pit and some large Huskies

    How about converting a tow strap : http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/ ... 123_669123
If your dog can break that, he is strong. If you want something cheaper, you could use this: http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/ ... _200011024 .
