Front Trunnion for triangle side folder

Do all Bulgarian 74 front trunnions come with the hole for the stock catch?

not unless they were part of a aks74 or aks74u at one time (or one of the arsenal offerings with a folding stock)

No, but if the barrel is not yet pressed in and the front trunnion is riveted to a receiver that already has the hole for the stock latch it is not hard to drill. I did it once by just center punching the bottom of the trunnion and drilling the hole with the trunnion riveted in.
Constantly studying spots welds, mag well dimple shapes, center support rivet heads and selector markings for the last 12 years...

BTW - Keep your BFH away from my AK!

I found the AK Builder instructions on it and it doesn’t seem too complex. I wish someone would do a tutorial on how to assemble all the components of the rear trunnion. I still haven’t figured out how to even keep the pivot pin in place.

Pivot pin goes in from the top - then gets staked. At least at the factory.

Oh yeah, you’re correct. I see how it works now. It’s actually a lot simpler than I thought. Thank you.

The AK Builder instructions are good
I used them when I did my chopped RPK but thatís not as easy as an akm or 74 (machining required for rpk)

The most tedious part of all of it was the latchís springs ... thereís tricks for that.
    One sugestion
Iím assuming your receiver is uncut
Get the stock folding and confirm the location of the front latch window before you cut it.

You'll have to forgive my ignorance but I do not know what you mean by uncut.

The hole for the front latch
You’ve not made it clear what you have for a receiver shell
So many of you people post questions not making it clear what your starting with.
