Here's the thing with appeasing the Left when it come to gun control.
They make demands, you meet them, set down and come to a compromise, the deal is made and they are momentarily happy.
Immediately, they begin look for another angle, then bitching about gun control from another angle and are eager to sit down with you again. Why do they do this? Because you were stupid enough to sit down with them and compromise in the first place.
If Cornyn doesn't see this then his handlers are playing the long game to keep him in power until everyone of them is rich and the peons are stuck with the aftermath and disarmed.
What Liberals don't understand is someone sitting down with them and telling them "F' you, you are not not getting a compromise, but you're going to give up some of what you have this time."
This is what is going to blow their minds when someone has the testicular fortitude to push back.
Honestly, if you moved to Texas to make Texas California, you need to eat a massive dick and move somewhere else.

Cancer is not cured by cutting it out and transplanting it into another part of the body. These people don't need to move somewhere else, not in this country. They need to be cut out and thrown away.

i'm gals our Great state of Oklahoma is as red a state as you can get, our Gov.'s have been on the side of the people pretty much until just lately when our new Gov. let loose 450+ non-violent felon's from prison. now i don't know about anywhere else but here in our prison's non-violent felons drug user's and dealers, i'm guessing. oh, they said had these same people been arrested NOW for the crimes they did way back when prison would be the last place they would be. so i guess now we'll review everyone's sentence and judge it by today's standard. guess they do need to make room for all those that got out and are going back in. who knows.

The problem with garbage like this is that it costs nothing to bring to bear. Laws get swatted down over and over again and pop up under a different number, so the resistance has to find out what the new one is and muster it's forces for a push-back. It's more insidious than cancer.. it's a disease/cancer hybrid where new infections can pop up with varying degrees of damage but as stated before it takes some time to get the word out and mount a defense. It doesn't help that certain people are feeding this ravenous plague.. it's like the doctor saying "dont eat sugar and caffeine while we treat you' and as soon as they leave the office they stop by 7-11 for a king size Snickers and a Monster energy. Why am i not getting better hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm must someone elses fault.

Just...cycles man. Circles. No wonder the human race is crazy.

Part of the problem, I think, is people have short memories.
Also, when all the people of a generation die that went through something shitty, there is no one left to say "Don't do that! I was there when I was your age and you don't want to go down that road."

From what I heard on a TV report, Tucson was purportedly the first major city to extended a helping hand to illegal immigrants, and became the foundation for the "Sanctuary City" movement. However, they never proclaimed themselves a "Sanctuary City". Here is the reason why:

    Precincts reporting: 100%
    Tucson Proposition 205
    Result Votes Percentage
    Yes 23,562 28.60%
    No 58,820 71.40%

What really chapped my hide was how the local ABC affiliate spun the Proposition 205 results. Though the newscaster stated the measure was "soundly defeated", the excuse given for the defeat was the city of Tucson could loose Federal Funding $$$ if the public voted in favor (in effect blaming, without saying, it was "Trump's fault".). For, to the Socialist punk whom wrote the copy in the newsroom, it could not possibly have been the majority of voters in Tucson defeated the measure, because they were steadfastly against the whole concept. In looking at the margin of defeat, undoubtedly the potential loss of federal funding was a factor, but not the deciding one...

Just wait until November 2020. If you think the left is losing it now, just you wait. Personally, I'll never understand why people move from dem super controlled areas that are literal shitholes, then proceed to vote in the same kind of people and laws that has brought the PRK to the brink of ruin.

I used to know a Lady who sold rural real estate in the outskirts of the more rural area's of Austin. She was selling Million dollars plus houses to people leaving LA, naturally they nearly all bitched about Texas not being California.
Austin just spent the better part of a week moving the hobo's out from under the overpasses in the downtown area. They gave them a large lot, you guessed it, just outside Austin near those Californian's.
    Suck it.

The mentality is as old as Moses.... literally. Wether you believe or don't the story is the same. Moses walked the desert for 40 years so that those who were born into slavery died before reaching the promised land. Only those born free could enter. Even Moses never entered the promised land.

Take away all the religious stuff and psychology is at the heart. The culture one is born and raised in defines their personality to a large extent. The older one is the more ingrained it is, even if they want to be somewhere else.

Slightly different but the same.... My dad is like that too. When he's in one of his moods he focuses on the bad here and the good there. I only had limited exposure from back there so I'm always like......dude.. if you don't like it you can always go back, which snaps him out of it because getting smacked with a little bit of reality beings people out of their nostalgia. Ask your wife! She'll know what I'm talking about. She'll understand the duality

Thank God it was soundly defeated, by about 70% of voters. We’re still Arizona, but this cancer has an unfortunate tendency to not stay in remission for long...

It is a significant percentage and they will build upon that vote.
It's a start in AZ and not that far away from what happened in NV. Spill over effect.

Because in their mind it is not the liberal ideology who is at fault, but those who try hard to stop the liberals from achieving their goals.

Just remember they all say the same thing all the time: "this time it will be different".
They don't see themselves as the problem, but the victims of the other people. The rich, the ultra rich, the super rich, the 1%-ers, the 0.1%-erts, their kids too, the ones who sit by the pool and get a check in the mail, the uneducated, the unsophisticated, the rural folks, the bible thumpin' people, the one holding on to their guns, the polluters, the workers, the wage earners, the ones who have jobs, the ones who shower, the ones who use deodorant and kill the ozone layer, the meat eaters, the fish eaters, car owners, those drinking from a straw, those who use plastic shopping bags at the grocery store, the one who use a/c during summer, the ones who use natural gas to heat the house during winter, the ones who use firewood to heat their house, the ones who torture elephants in zoos, the one who pour hot steaming asphalt on our Mother Earth, the one who sit and watch, Trump voters, Trump, Trump's kids, Trump's in-laws, Trump, Trump's voters, Trump, Fox news, Trump, Trump's voters' kids, Trump and ultimately Trump of course.

    All in that exact order.
    Also Trump.
