    Gun And Relic Confiscation, PA.

Vietnam vet had his inert ordnance/training round collection stolen by LE after siblings ratted him out. Allegedly cased rifles were found inside his vehicle during the seizure as well, and they of course too were stolen by LE.

This might not be a "red flag" by its exact definition, but this is definitely a shining example of how perverted these laws are rapidly going to go. Just today, I came from the flea market at the Wake County fairgrounds and the GI surplus kiosk had several exact items strewn about, to include an inert 200lb gravity bomb. They are 100% legal, yet LE, and even the military, got involved and stole this guy's shit.

They took a couple swords from the guy too, probably wall hangings. Weren't we just talking about that in another thread?

Color me jaded, but I'd be willing to bet this is a case of money-grubbing siblings looking to nudge the old man aside and seize the property for themselves. Over the last couple years I watched this happen twice where the snakes came slithering out into the open to grab their mom or dad's estate citing "guardianship."

    This is absolutely sickening.

The accusations implied by the press here are very unsettling. Those are all training devices and it's being played like it's active ordnance.

That's ! Everything looked legal to own from here.

Dumb ass family lost out on thousands of dollars from his estate.

Is it against the law to collect rifles . ? Something is missing, did the guy do or say something to provoke this? I can't believe the kids called the police and said my dad collects rifles and other legal memorabilia and the police just went and confiscated it. Anyone familiar with gun laws where this took place?

It took place in Pennsylvania. Read the article. Montgomery County is right outside Philly.

That's my fault. A buddy of mine sent me this link and said it was Montgomery County, NC. Corrected.

Article's kind of vague, but supposedly his kids were "helping him clean out his home" and it looks like they called LE when they found the items. Montgomery County NC was an error on my part. Again, this was Montgomery Cty, PA. My bad, you're not going senile.

These items are legal in NC, and I'd imagine in PA as well as they're completely inert. Shit, I bought an inert ComBloc grenade off this site just a coupe months ago. This is total overreaction by all parties involved, and IMO it's intentional just to get the guys property confiscated. Why would a kid do this to their parents if there wasn't some kind of nefarious intention, other than complete clueless stupidity?

Thanks, I was sure I read NC. I did edit my post but the question is the same.

Stupid cunts lost hundreds of dollars in inert ord that was lol "Safely disposed of" Yeah they blew up rubber ducks and empty tin cans with extreme prejudice i mean caution. oh they cleaned out the house all right. I'd be willing to bet that the elderly couple will be found mentally incompetent (PTSD for the vet. Easy disqual. Woosh slam dunk 3 pointer) and all those guns and ammo will vanish too.

Those swords though man those could have cut thousands of babies in half for real.

    You did, my fault.

I'm still thinking his kids ratted him out as "incompetent" or otherwise mentally questionable. The cops might have also used coercive language when they questioned them. They only need to fulfill a certain amount of criteria to get the warrant for this so they know precisely what questions to ask and how to ask them.

Who knows how it really went down, but it's wrong either way. So friggin' wrong.

Got a friend on the left coast and he has a small, but historic collection of granats & shells. Over there, such items (if there is an inert projectile attached to a shell) must have the cavities filled with something like epoxy foam. In addition, each piece must be clearly identified with a red "INERT" label attached to be in compliance with state law. Of course, one should never assume meeting the letter of the law is a guarantee of protection from it...

This was being discussed on a PA forum and I read something about the man writing a 'suicide note', but have not seen any news/documentation to confirm or deny that. I agree it's just sheeple neighbors/crappy family members getting some kind of revenge.

Guy in video said machine gun. I saw bolt action rifles. So even if this guy gets his guns back, they are more scratched and dented causing a loss of value. Would not surprise me the kids are trying to get their parents money. Greedy people do some horrible things. I had aunts and uncles have my grandma declared incompetent by a judge and put into a nursing home so the assholes could spend her money and one of my uncles got her farm. She was not bad enough to be in a nursing home. She had nine kids and two had power of attorney from many years back which turned out to be two of several dirtbags. The dirtbags were spending money on things she never bought and claimed she was buying them. One of my aunts is a beautician and charged her own mom for haircuts. Just one of many things they did to get her money like saying she bought picture frames and kinds of clothes she would never buy. My dad and three of my aunts went to court over it and lost. My one uncle would purposely mess with his own mom because she had a type of dementia, to make her worse before she was declared incompetent. He would park at the end of her driveway. He also would go in her house and move things which someone that has condition you do not do that. He would also unscrew light bulbs in her house. She would call my dad and be crying because my uncle was doing this. So I have some aunts and uncles who I don't claim and my dad does not claim some of his sisters and brothers.

Dear Socialists: I have no money for you. I spent it all on guns and ammo.

There is never a good reason to deal with family that way.
You really have to be damned careful who you casually talk to, who you have private conversations with and who you let know you have guns, stored food and money at home.
Very few people wont sell you out, as the pressure about a gun confiscation rises there will be even fewer.

Just wait 'til they start offering rewards to people who supply information that lead to successful red flag seizures. Don't think for a SECOND that this will never happen.
