Same here. The ammo cabinet was full as normal. I can think of about eight other places locally that sell ammo. That may be part of it.

Same here. Although I haven't been in WM since they publicly came out in favor of the "assault weapon" ban but I may stop in tomorrow just to see the difference.

Handgun calibers are on the left. .22 and rifle on right. Brown cardboard boxes on bottom are Federal XM855.

    Shotgun basically empty.

I was back at this Walmart again this weekend. Shotgun ammo was refilled. Some more handgun and rifle ammo gone. Just people buying like normal. Some longs were still missing from the two gun displays. They did have semi-autos still, a Marlin 60 and a Hatfield shotgun.
Dear Socialists: I have no money for you. I spent it all on guns and ammo.

I talked to a Walmart employee yesterday at the Walmart I normally shop at. I asked him if Walmart changed their policy on ammo since the shelves are being restocked. He said no, when the warehouse runs out not the stores it will be done. There is a year supply in the warehouse. Less than a year if people buy it quickly. He told me no one in the store orders anything. It is done automatically. When an item is out on the shelf, items get sent from the warehouse automatically. Orders goes to the manufacturer automatically from warehouse. I talked to him about some items stopped being carried over the years. He said that is corporate deciding that. Corporate decides what is carried by which stores based on demographics. I do know Walmart has a lot of distribution centers throughout the country.
