Don't tell anybody about anything ,OK ?

Why? Cause you're ashamed of it? Or cause it's wrong? Stigmatizing something is an important step in getting rid of it. If you can stigmatize a student for doing something you don't like, then you can usually get the rest of them not to do it, kids typically don't like being the center of negative attention, it's a very calculated ploy.

While the school has a responsibility to protect their students, they also have to respect and protect the rights of their students as well. If this was a muslim student who was barred from attending because he posted a snapchat of him attending service at a mosque and someone reported him as a possible terrorist you'd see an entirely different outcome, it would have never made the news because he wouldn't have missed the first day of school.

There is a very strong anti-2nd agenda being pushed through public education in most areas these days, everything from misinformation, trying to instill fear or shame, bullying of students, and promoting only the leftist view of pretty much all subjects. Just more of the socialist left playing the long game.

If that were my kid I'd immediately drop $500 on all kinds of carefully selected pro-2A and pro-military t-shirts, hoodies and jackets for him. I'd also take him shooting every single day he was out of school, film it, and tell him to post it all over Instagram. All contact from the school would be conducted through my lawyer, I would not accept a single phone call. Public school systems are run by some of the most mediocre minds this country has to offer. They're typically not even that intelligent. I'd play their fuckin' game and win.

My friend in high school was suspended for reading a book about cutaway guns and how they work, that was probably almost 10 years ago.
I heard a student was also expelled for having a lime green squirt gun in his car as well. I think that was after I graduated though.

I remember country kids (the few we had) having rifles in their back window of their trucks, on school grounds, and nobody gave a shit. This was in the late 90's in Northern California and it wasn't like the school was rural or trouble free. Times have changed.

I dont remember the guys name but he a had a red lifted pickup. He was like one of the main ones who always had a rifle in the gun rack. The guy had actually been shot in a classroom when he was like 14. Apparently he was a bully and the kid shot him and the teacher. I don't know if being a "bully" was something that was true, but I know he was always really cool to me. He was 18 and a senior when I was a freshman. We had metal shop together and he made me a chevrolet emblem in the foundry and would give me dip lol.

"While we were at her house getting ready to go, I took a video of five or six pistols and an AR-15," Nathan told the outlet. "None of them were loaded, they were all in their cases."
"We had a great day," said Justine, a self-described gun enthusiast. "This is what we do. Nathan has been shooting many times with us. We are huge Second Amendment supporters."
Nathan also posted video of them at the range:

You need to stress some OPSEC nobody needs to know you have guns in your house. Advertising is a good way to invite a burglary.

It's kind of the new thing you cannot talk about even in polite company. Politics, Religion and now guns.
Nobody has a clue how the Red Flag Laws are going to be imposed upon us, it would seem to me that they don't even need those Laws if someone can do this to a kid who simply shoots with his family, goes to that school and made the mistake of filming any of that, because it will be used against you.
When my Grandfather passed away I was given one of his shotguns. My Dad and I cleaned that gun, reblued the metal and cleaned and oiled the wood. I didn't know it at the time, because I was about ten, but that process was as helpful to my Dad as it was to me. We took a piece of our families history and restored it and passed it on.
You can't explain that to someone with a near phobic fear of guns, they only want to take them away.
If you've got kids I suggest you fill them in on a few facts of life, the need to keep some things secret within the family like the ownership of guns is one of them.
I don't think the winds will shift soon, more than likely it will get worse before it gets better.

I'm sort of on the fence about this.

On the one hand, its a good idea to be discrete and not advertise to the world you have guns in case someone with criminal intent decides to target you.

On the other, gun owners becoming a group that hides in the shadows in exactly what liberals want. They want us to be ostracized and belittled and for everybody to think that anybody who owns a gun must be a lunatic. And the only way to combat this is for people to normalize gun ownership, via interacting with the greater public in positive ways. There was definitely nothing hostile or negative about this kid's actions. Yet, people deliberately forced their negative views on the situation.

Its like that ridiculous situation where a man got in legal trouble because he made a "gun" shaped hand gesture at some people he was arguing with. To go so far as to actually call something like that a crime is completely untenable as a society. By that logic, giving someone the finger should get you arrested for threatening to rape them, which is obviously stupid and completely unwarranted. Yet that is the point we have reached.

There's no way to do that until we wrest control of the media and education away from them. The indoctrination starts early and passive as the young brains absorb information, and then later in higher education the stakes are raised and wrong-thought is punished more severely. The only 'good guy with gun' story we ever see without digging is grudgingly put up for a few seconds just enough to say "retired or off duty police officer" or security guard.

The only hope we have is a counter culture movement pushing against the asylum. I don't see this getting less stupid any time soon though..
