Its always time, and I'll also add to what BigSal said...don't forget those mags, because you can never have enough of either.

Anytime is a good time for more ammo. Prices are low right now but for most calibers they're not going to get much lower. From an ak perspective MOST milsurp is now banned from import with the ban on 7n6, 7.62x39 with the shank was already banned before that. If it were me I'd stock up on 5.56, 5.45, 7.62x39/51/54r while there's some decent prices still. An above suggestion about stocking up on mags is a good one as well. Do you have enough magazines to last you from now on? Pistol calibers as well are cheap right now.
You don't have to go crazy with it from a pricing perspective, one of my buddies spends $25 a week on ammo, he rotates through .22, shotgun, pistol and rifle calibers, etc and he's built up a pretty impressive pile of ammo over the time he's been doing it.

My personal experience with BBB is it's a bunch of BS. My company has had complaints due to some ridiculous and impossible demands. Not saying Target Sports is a perfect company but sometimes customer expects the impossible
I, myself had a bad experience with them. Not saying everyone has or will but when my order was chronically late I noticed the BS answers they were giving me were the same ones in all the complaints I read. They charged my card but never shipped and I had to fight to cancel order and get refunded. I agree that BBB can be complete BS sometimes but it all rang true this time.
Come to think of it they wouldn’t answer the phone when I called and I had to use a different number to get an answer.

Well....damn....that sucks! To be honest I don't pay attention to shipment times. I once forgot I bought a scope until it showed up like a month later (that company was known for slow shipping).

I order from them and SG. They're always faster on delivery, than SG, by a few days. Always under a week Whereas SG is about a week. Maybe it has to do with location.....I'm in Pa and Target Sports is in CT, which itself is only like a 4hr drive. But KY isn't that far away either (talking about shipping not straight driving)

Maybe things have gotten better. It’s been at least a year since that happened. I think SG only ships out once or twice a week but I could be wrong.

BS: Long time no hear! I concur with your take on magazines. However, considering what Kalifornia has been doing with regards to ammo, limiting how much you can buy will undoubtedly be the next restriction (and you having only recently escaped from the People's Republik yourself). Though that only applies to their residents, the PRK is in angst over how to ensure their subjects do not circumvent the law by smuggling ammo purchased outside the state back into it. They will be trying to influence contiguous states to join them in this regards. Though this does not affect the majority of the country, restricting ammo (not protected by the 2nd A per-se) will be another issue the radical dems running for president will be quick to embrace. My take is there will be a upswing in arms & ammunition purchases not unlike what preceded the 2008 election. It will start slowly but pick-up speed as we enter the 2020 election year, and voters begin to hear of all the tender mercies the opposition has planned for them, should they come to power.

Omg - I ordered a barrel of ammo at midway and they canceled my order because my driver license expired by one day.

I was going to reorder after sending a copy of the temporary license they gave me but I was so irritated about it I told them just to cancel all together and took my business to Brownells.

Just got a shipping notice from midway and says tho don’t return Ammo for safety reasons. I saved my chatlog cancelling my order and tried to contact them but they already closed when I got the shipping notice. I emailed them l about it....

    I’m like wtf 🙄

Look what happened to CA and the ammo purchase.
It can happen anywhere due to the current environment.
See what Schumer is proposing (no body armor sales to civilians). It has nothing to do with ammo, but it's so insane and you have to admit something else bigger is brewing.

^ yeah itís hard to get a good read on the republicans right now. I want to believe that they are just talking the talk just to keep the anti-gunners at bay and when things cool down they will brush it under the rug. Wishful thinking tho - like I said itís so hard to know which way itís going to swing.

If you have to ask a bunch of faceless dude's online that you've never met if it's a good time to buy ammo, it's probably a good time to buy ammo.

I'm always looking for what I consider good prices on firearms, ammo, mags, reloading supplies and spare parts. I have a poorly kept list of what I have and what I need. When a good deal and the funds are available I buy. I thought that is what you are supposed to do?

In the 50 years I have been dealing in firearms I have never lost money buying two things.

    1. Magazines

    2. Ammo

If you have the money for them buy all you can anytime you can.

Are people going to hoard ammo again and drive the prices up then blame the government for the shortage and price increase like last time? These people annoy me.

Dear Socialists: I have no money for you. I spent it all on guns and ammo.
