    Creedence Clearwater Revival
    Run Through The Jungle
    Cosmo's Factory

    Lyrics:

Oh thought it was a might mare
    Though it come so true

They told me don't go walking slow
    The devil's on the loose

    Better run through the jungle
    Better run through the jungle
    Better run through the jungle
    Don't look back to see

    Thought I heard a rumbling
    Calling to my name

Two hundred million guns are loaded
    Satan cries take aim

    Better run through the jungle
    Better run through the jungle
    Better run through the jungle
    Don't look back to see

Over on the mountain Thunder magic spoke
Let the people know my wisdom
    Fill the land with smoke

    Better run through the jungle
    Better run through the jungle
    Better run through the jungle
    Don't look back to see
Oh god and his infinite wisdom would never have ordained that!

Wow, What a absolute tool he is.

I think Alice Cooper laid it out best.

“If you're listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we're morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."-Alice Cooper

Pulled this from ar15. And as I said over there. Read the last paragraph of the article. He did a 180 because reality actually sunk in.

It was more than likely an anti-war song when he wrote it and now he's trying to sound relevant by claiming it is about "gun control". I really enjoyed listening to CCR back in the day and I can do without his politics, which if he continues, will ruin my enjoyment of his music.

Sort of tangential to the thread, but when I was on a secondment in New Zealand for about a year I discovered how popular CCR was down there years after the US pretty much forgot about them. Heard their songs regularly on the radio, NZ bands did covers of their music, and the band has toured down there. Credence Clearwater Revisited will be touring there next summer (January) after selling out the venues they played this year.
We've got a hell of a lot more in common with the fellow citizens we're being trained to hate,
than we do with the puppmasters training us to hate them.

Guess it's a southern rock thing, they're still in rotation on most classic rock stations here.

Is Bruce Springsteen going to claim Born in the USA is a control song too and not an anti-American song?

Lol, nice try Fogerty. What's next, are you gonna try to tell me "Puff the Magic Dragon" wasn't about gunships?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eR0mJfGhbk

If there was a definitive soundtrack of the war in VN, CCR's "Run Through the Jungle" would possibly be in my top ten.

Who cares what a "celebrity" has to say about anything.
