Sometimes, I am so glad I live in the middle of Nowhere, South Carolina.

I don't know where the nearest Starbucket is, don't care. I buy my beans in bulk from a guy named Sam.

Use my triple filtered well water, and make some seriously good coffee all by myself.

And it is sustainable because I put the grounds in the garden and I use a stainless steel cup.

Minding my own business helps keep my blood pressure in check.

    How a retired guy avoids Starbucks;
Buy quality coffee beans, grind them at home.
Learn to use a French Press and buy a kettle.
Use real cream and never wash your favorite coffee cup.

This allows you to avoid the smell of unwashed hippie chicks with arm pit hair and avoid interacting with whiney little bitches impersonating males from our species.

All kidding and digs at Starbucks aside, this isn't about Starbucks. This is about the growing public disdain for LE which is heading in a very bad direction. You're seeing more and more of this with every passing week and quite frankly, LE has done this to themselves. They don't police themselves and "the good ones" sit idle while their buddies on the force with axes to grind with society abuse their authority. I don't buy the "most cops are good people" bullshit either. A LOT more than "just a few" are in fact very bad people and the ones who look the other way… which makes up most of the balance of the LE community at large are just as bad as they are. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

I absolutely do not like this state of affairs but I'm glad society is taking a stand, even if I can't stand a lot of the ones doing it. And make no mistake- by and large I utterly despise these little twinks like those ones at that Starbucks and what they stand for, but I'm glad they're making a difference and bringing a little inconvenience to a demographic that certainly has it coming to them. The "good cops" need to do a better job keeping the bad ones at bay. Nothing will improve until it is regularly demonstrated openly to society by the bulk of LE- city, county, state, and federal as a whole that foul-tempered and even mildly abusive cops will not be tolerated in their ranks. The situation has spiraled into a whirling crescendo of anger, spite, and even violence so cops have their work cut out for them. They better get busy because it's not just going to end.

Cops are very quick to write off another cop's abuse as "not in my dept" or "I don't work with that guy," basically distancing and even exonerating themselves from the whole thing. They refuse to accept or even grasp that society does not see a bad cop as a "bad Tempe PD cop" or a "bad Broward Sheriff Deputy." What a criminal beat cop in Galveston does is going to get held against the entire Massachusetts State Police. What a bad Florida Highway Patrolman does, ATF is going to pay the price down the road. People don't really discern between departments and bureaus. They see all cops pretty much lumped together and one bad one even at the bottom of the food chain hurts the entire order. Mass media sees to this on a daily basis and although I also despise 90% of them, for that I applaud them.

Recently, Starbucks employees signed a petition about how bad their restrooms have become. Since you no longer have to be a patron to hang out there, drug addicts as well as homeless have been using the facilities. Maybe someone who was wanting to fix felt "unsafe" because cops were in there.

Starbucks plans to close 190 stores in 2019. Keep out the junkies and LEO's I guess.

CharBucks. Their coffee has always been adequate at best, nothing to cry in the cornflakes over losing.
    This.

It's not about the cops acting like 5 year olds. It's about the small minority who screams the loudest and get their way.

Refusing to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple is that business owner's right. Refusing to serve cops should be too, but then it has to be company wide, not at the whims of a pansy ass snowflake.

What would happen if I walked in and said those black people are making me feel uncomfortable? Would they get kicked out? Or if I said those white bikers make me feel uncomfortable. Would that get the same reaction? What if I act all flamboyant and demand all white heterosexual males make me feel uncomfortable and I want them to leave?

That depends. How many prorated classes do you fit into? Of a cop is a protected class that's only 1 point. A black cop, 2 points. If you're an a fat, Mexican migrant transgendered female cop then you instantly rise to the top of the protected spectrum. It's like an endangered species list.

It will obviously be like that diner scene in Pulp Fiction. They'll have their coffee then jump up, draw their guns and start robing people

I think the tranny card would add much more face value than being fat and Mexican, unless the Mexican in it was from across the border and not US born. If you're not Black, a foreigner, or queer, you're pretty much left behind. Hell, Ben and Jerry is even making political ice cream to recognize that gays and black are treated "unfairly".

    I'm disappointed honestly

Not to the level of a restraint of LEO to being in a coffee shop but...,

    Averageman,

You and I need to start an old man thread.

All the things we don't want to put up with from Hippies, Millennials, and Hipsters.

That would be a long thread.

From your ramblings, you've obviously never worn the uniform, I have and do, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about but that's normal with people who have their ignorant minds made up about a subject they know nothing about.

In the liberal, socialist, Democrat community that's business as usual, you're a perfect example of it and the reason why we walk around with a bullseye on our backs.

The only 'public disdain' is gratuitous, liberal propaganda that resonates from the black communities who make up 13% of of the population but commit 52% of the crime, who when they don't get their way riot and burn down other people's property, this in their own neighborhoods and then they complain when no one opens a business in a black neighborhood.

It's easy for someone like you to sit there and criticize but someone has to be the first one through the door, if not you then who?!

Go take the test, qualify at the academy, then pound a beat for a few years in an urban city precinct where on your first day on the job, the residents try to drop huge chunks of concrete on you from the tops of the project building roofs, these are the same people you were put there to protect, do that for few years then come back and tell me what the deal is, until that happens you're doing nothing but talking out your ass...
