5906. My first real carry gun! I've had others before but I carried occasionally. Switched to Glocks for carry but I still have a bunch of steel guns. Several HiPowers, old Sigs, a few Berettas, 1911 ...etc... I'm not much for the Sig 220 but for some reason I'd like to find one that's all steel

Ive owned/tried countless poly-pistols over the decades, I've found a practical benefit to none of them with exception of....

    Steyr L9A1
    Shield EZ 380
    Ruger LCR 38 Spl

All other handguns I own are all metal

I don't even mind alloy frame pistols like Sigs either.

Love my CZ's. Just shot a CZ P10F for the first time today as well as a Sig 320C...........Good buddy let me shoot them and I let him shoot my CZ 75D - PCR. Nice day at the range.

I have 39 handguns of many different brands and calibers, both metal and plastic, revolvers and autos. Probably my favorite is my S&W Model 66. Revolvers are great. You can pick up a used S&W K frame reasonably. There are many different models of K frames in various calibers (.38 Special, .357 magnum, .22 LR, 32-20 to name a few). Smith has been making the Model 10 (a K frame) continuously since 1899. You can't go wrong buying a Smith. They can be modified (grips, sights, etc.) and actions honed to make them even better.

Apparently the Russians love all metal pistols too.

S&W 3rd gen are criminally underrated pistols, IMO.

I don't own any plastic pistols but a local pawn shop has an old Gen 2 Glock 19 I'm thinking about getting. They are asking $300 but I could probably do $250 otd cash.

    That's a good price. $250 even better.

I keep thinking I need to get one of those 5906 pistols while they are still low priced. Trouble is, I tend to impulse buy without any real rhyme or reason when I see a deal which tends to keep me cash poor. My last impulse buy was a Star BM a couple of weeks ago.

They pop up in small quantities every so often as departments get rid of their surplus

Oh I do, I do. Currently I have "invested" so much that that the vault I built last year is now full.

I am looking for a Super B to go with the BM and a very nice Super A I picked up last year, because the Star set won't be complete without one. Yep, I am "investing" as hard as my wallet will allow
